OVERVIEW
BOOTSTRAPS SCHOLARSHIPS AND
INTEREST-FREE LOANS
Bootstraps is dedicated to supporting students from Clear Creek, Conifer, Evergreen, and Platte Canyon High Schools by offering scholarships and interest-free loans. Our goal is to empower these students to pursue their educational dreams, either by attending a traditional college, university, or community college, or engaging in career training through vocational, trades, or certification programs. We believe in making education accessible and helping students achieve their full potential.
Traditional
Scholarships and
Interest-Free Loans
For students who plan to pursue a full-time education following high school graduation. Traditional education includes college, university, and community college.
Career Training Scholarships and
Interest-Free Loans
Career Training scholarships and interest-free loans are general and can be used for educational and certification programs for any field you choose, such as precision machining, automotive, carpentry, bookkeeping, culinary arts, cinematography, hairdressing, and fire science, to name a few.
Continuing
Interest-Free
Loan Program
Bootstraps wants to help you avoid the burden of high monthly student loan payments when you leave school. All Bootstraps student loans are interest-free for the life of the loan. Continuing loans are for Bootstraps awardees after their first year of postsecondary education.
Defining Postsecondary Education
Postsecondary education is the education level that follows the successful completion of high school. It includes universities, colleges, community colleges, vocational, trade, and certification programs. Postsecondary education usually culminates with a diploma, certificate, or academic degree.

Members of our community - individuals, business owners, and civic organizations - fund our scholarships and interest-free loans. Our supporters donate their hard-earned money so that students in the community can pursue their educational dreams.
Scholarships range in value from $500 for one year to $44,000 for four years. Interest-free loans range from $500 to $5,000 for the first year of school. Each donor specifies the criteria for the award, and requirements can change from year to year. Many of the awards can be used for vocational or technical training, in addition to two- and four-year colleges.
Bootstraps has always focused on serving those students with financial needs; however, due to new programs in the state of Colorado, we have shifted our focus to need considered instead of need required. The two programs are the Colorado Promise and the Promise Programs of individual state schools.
